Centro / Jardín

The centro is the cultural and social hub of San Miguel de Allende. There’s almost always live music in the square and giant, traditional mojigangas walking around. More often than not, there’s an event going on.

There’s the jardín, a lovely shaded park right across from the famous and beautiful Parroquia church. All of the surrounding blocks are closed to traffic, so it’s great for walking. The entire area is full of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and other services.

It’s a regular stop for locals and tourists alike.
