The immigration office is a critical stop for all foreign residents of Mexico.
In 2026, they moved from a building near the bus station to a new office a bit outside of town.
The Urbanos bus system doesn’t cover it. I’m working to get more details.
Multiple Suburbanos routes do go past it, and you can get off at the Shell station. But it’s not clear that it’s possible to get a bus back into town, and the walk back is reported to be dangerous, with no sidewalk and little to no shoulder on the road.
It’s probably best to get a taxi or Uber.
