Directions to Central Bus Station

The main bus station is on Calzada de la Estación, a 20-minute walk from the Parroquia. It’s downhill on the way there, but the walk back up to the center is all uphill. There are direct buses from here to Querétaro, Guadalajara, Mexico City, and elsewhere. more →

The main bus station is on Calzada de la Estación, a 20-minute walk from the Parroquia. It’s downhill on the way there, but the walk back up to the center is all uphill.

There are direct buses from here to Querétaro, Guadalajara, Mexico City, and elsewhere. Primera Plus is very nice and comfortable, and ETN is like flying first class (with none of the hassle of checking bags or airport security).

You can catch taxis right outside the door, or Ubers at the stop up a small set of stairs just beyond the taxi stand.

Getting there

  • On foot: about 31 min from the Jardín.
  • From the Jardín: take Ruta 1 at Oratorio/Plaza Zaragoza and get off at Calzada de la Estación (2 min walk).
  • From the Jardín: take Ruta 5 at Umarán y Zacateros and get off at Calzada de la Estación y Héroes (2 min walk).
  • Buses that stop nearby: Rutas 1, 2 and 5 at Calzada de la Estación (2 min walk); Ruta 10 at Calzada de la Estación y Héroes (2 min walk); Ruta 4 at Calzada de la Estacion & C. Guadalupe Victoria (7 min walk).

  • Get off at the back.
  • Buses run about 6 AM to 9 PM.
  • Find your busMany buses show a route number on the front, some have it on the side, and some don't display a number at all. When in doubt, just ask the driver.
