An art gallery of amazing murals hidden away where a local street passes under the Libramiento, the Celaya to Dolores Hidalgo highway. The murals line the walls on both sides of the street as it goes under.
It was organized by San Miguel’s Department of Culture and Traditions, and launched in 2020 with 10 murals under the highway. Later, two more large murals were added at the entrances on the San Antonio side.
It’s definitely a bit out of the way, but a great stop for art enthusiasts or adventurers.
It’s a public street, so it’s open 24 hours and free to visit.

Getting there
- On foot: about 33 min from the Jardín.
- From the Jardín: take Ruta 10 at Zacateros (entre Umarán y Pila Seca) and get off at Libramiento José Manuel Zavala (1 min walk).
- From the Jardín: take Ruta 5 at Umarán y Zacateros and get off at Neoclásica (2 min walk).
- Buses that stop nearby: Rutas 2, 3 and 10 at Libramiento José Manuel Zavala (1 min walk); Ruta 5 at Neoclásica (2 min walk); Ruta 4 at C. Libertad y C. Sta. Teresa (8 min walk).
How to ride the bus

- Board at the front and pay 10 MXN cash.
- Say "Baja!" a block before your stop.
- Get off at the back.
- Buses run about 6 AM to 9 PM.
- Find your busMany buses show a route number on the front, some have it on the side, and some don't display a number at all. When in doubt, just ask the driver.
- Where to catch itThis site documents many bus stops but not all of them. Sometimes buses can be flagged down between stops.
- Flag it downAs the bus nears, raise your hand so the driver knows to stop for you.
- Get on at the frontBoard at the front door. Buses can be crowded, so step toward the back to make room.
- Pay the driverIt's 10 MXN, cash only. Pay as you board. Bring coins or small bills.
- Signal your stopA block before, call out "Baja!" or press the buzzer if there is one.
- Get off at the rearStep off at the back door when there is one, or the front if not.
- Hours & frequencyMost routes run about 6 AM–9 PM, roughly every 10 minutes on main lines. Expect longer waits early, late, and on Sundays and holidays.
- Good to knowKeep small change ready and belongings close. Knowing your destination's cross-streets or a nearby landmark helps the driver.
