Fábrica La Aurora is a large collection of art galleries and design shops, plus restaurants, a wine bar, and a café.
It was a textile factory from 1902 until 1991, and some of the original machinery is still on display. In 2004 it reopened as an arts and design center.
It’s a nice walk from the Centro, especially as Calzada de la Luz has some of the best sidewalks in town, with shopping along the way.
Entry is free. The galleries are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday until 5pm.
It’s a must-stop for all visitors to San Miguel.

- On foot: about 21 min from the Jardín.
- From the Jardín: take Ruta 6 at Zacateros (entre Umarán y Pila Seca) and get off at Calzada de la Aurora y Camellón 72 La Aurora (2 min walk).
- From the Jardín: take Ruta 2 at Calzada de la Luz (entre Hernández Macías y Hidalgo) and get off at Calzada de la Aurora y Camellón 72 La Aurora (2 min walk).
